Purpley Pinky Bluey Tabacco

Our Beta fish, Fins died last week. I didn't think James would take it so hard but we was pretty upset. We had to adopt another fish from Walmart ASAP. ;-) James and Lucas named him Purpley Pinky Bluey Tabacco. Here he is, home from the store waiting to check out his new bowl. We told James that fish don't live very long and that Fins is in heaven now and God is taking good care of him. R.I.P. Fins.

Shakin' Baby

Dominic loves that he is able to get into the pantry in the new house. He is frequently found in there "shopping" as I like to call it. He brings items that he finds into his play kitchen and "cooks them up." It seems like everyday he brings out the Shake & Bake box. Is he trying to tell me something?

Happy Easter

The Easter Bunny stayed up late this year. ;-) Tony and I had a date night Saturday night while Grandpa and Grandma watched the boys. We got a Starbucks and went to see the Hunger Games. We were pleasantly surprised since we had both read the book and had high expectations for the movie. It was good! We got home around midnight and helped the Easter Bunny put together the boy's baskets. Here they are:
The boys were happy to see their baskets in the morning. James got the egg dropper angry bird and the king piggy and Gordon from Thomas the train. Luke got the blue angry bird, the Misty Island Rescue DVD and a talking Diesel 10 engine from Thomas the Train. Dominic got a Peter Rabbit book that makes sounds and Molly the train. They all got bubbles, some candy, angry birds tattoos, and a little chick.

Then after breakfast (and a nap for Tony) we got ready and headed over to Mark and Kristy's for Easter dinner. We were so lucky the Easter Bunny showed up too! Thank you Mark and Kristy for the yummy food too! (the cornbread and honey butter was amazing!)

Walkin'

Today we went out for an almost 3 hour morning walk when you factor in time spent at the park. We have beautiful trails by our house and a creek which the boys love. It was a little chilly out today, despite the sunshine but we had fun. We found a new park with some really nice tennis courts too. We have probably only discovered a quarter of the trails, if that. I forgot how much I love going for a nice long walk everyday! The first two pictures are of the trails that go from our house through the golf coarse and the second two pictures are of the creek.

Dan and Jaclynn's Celebration

Daniel and Jaclynn were married in Vegas. Not everyone could make it, so they had a party at their home to celebrate. It was a great party with great food and a wonderful slideshow of their wedding photos for those who weren't able to attend. Thanks for the invite, guys! Leeland, my nephew, is such a cutie. He is 8 days older than Dom and they followed each other around echoing each others "uh ohs" and babbling.

Easter Egg Coloring

Getting ready to dye the Easter eggs!
Waiting for the colors to dissolve . . .
Waiting for the dye to soak onto the eggs . . .
Still more waiting . . .
TA DA! Easter eggs. James even made one for the Easter Bunny himself.

Happy Saint Patricks Day

Corned beef in the crock. Veggies cookin'. Yumm. I love Saint Patricks Day! This year I went for something a little different. I drank a Killian's Irish Red instead of Guiness. ;-) Happy Saint Patty's Day to you all. For a little fun, here's an Irish quote, "Dance as if no one's watching, sing as if no one's listening, and live everyday as if it were your last"

New House!

We felt like the day would never come, but we finally made it to the new house. Some deadlines were pushed back due to the title company, but we finally closed and got out keys! We are so excited to be here! We love our new house! It's a four bedroom, single story home with 3,587 sq ft. We have almost a 1/2 acre lot and a gorgeous neighborhood. It is located on a golf course, so we have tons of beautiful trails to walk through the golf course, and a creek nearby. There is also a park in the center of our court, so it is just steps from our front door! The boys couldn't be happier. There are also plenty of neighbors with children too. We are so grateful for the extra space, the room for the boys to play outside, and the great neighborhood! WooHoo!

This is the playdough "snowman" the boys made. ;-)

Luke's 3rd Birthday

Happy 3rd Birthday, Lucas! To celebrate your birthday this year Grandpa and Grandma came and we headed out to dinner at Claim Jumper. After that, we returned home for candles cake and presents of coarse! You found it very difficult to wait all day to open your gifts! But it was worth the wait because you got some cool new Thomas stuff. James helped you read your cards. Our family is blessed to have you, Lucas. You are a sweetheart. Some cool things you can do on your third birthday are: you are going pee on the potty and wearing underwear, you can count to five, you know your colors and shapes, and can say the alphabet (with some prompting.) ;-)

Christmas 2011

Santa has come! Ooooohhh Aaaaah We have three very excited boys here! We had to wait for Daddy this year. Tony worked Christmas Eve night and came home around 8:30 so we waited for him. When he came home we had our traditional Christmas Breakfast Casserole and homemade cinnamon rolls. yummy. Then we opened stockings and gifts. I am grateful for a beautiful day with my family!
Dom in his new wheels. Any ladies need a ride? ;-)

The aftermath: a messy house and three exhausted boys. Gotta love Christmas. See ya next year!

Polar Express 2011

It has become a tradition for us to go on the Polar Express train ride at the Sacramento Train Museum each year. My parents joined us again this year. We had pizza prior to the ride at Round Table in downtown Sac, and then jumped aboard for an entertaining ride. Each year, the kids wear their jammies for the ride just like in the book. We all had fun. The kids look forward to this so much each year.
