Tony came home early from work today because they didn't have an RN for their shift so we decided to make the most of our day and go to Fairytale Town. We had so much fun. It's a really cute little park for kids based on Nursery Rhymes. We will definitely go back!

Lucas is 3 months!

Lucas playing air guitar!
Lucas looking like he's gonna spit up . . .
Happy 3 months Lucas! My little man, you are always so happy we love you! You are such a joy and are always giving the biggest smiles ever.
I had to throw in a picture of James in his Firefighter dress up! Chief Tabacco, we love you too!

Back to the Grind . . .

Well, the boys survived their first weekend with mommy back to work. It was so hard to go back to work after being off for four months, but it was time. It's nice to see my coworkers who I missed and to get back into the swing of things. It's hard right now because we have new managers and things aren't very good at work. The morale is very low. Everyone is unhappy but I am trying to keep a positive attitude. Tony and the boys, on the other hand, did great! Tony, you are such a great husband . . . almost as good as a wife ;) Thanks for taking care of dinner and dishes, cleaning and baths! I love you!

Girls Night Out

It took over a month to plan, but it finally happened. GIRLS NIGHT OUT! It was my first time out like that since Lucas was born and it was so nice to chat with the girls and relax. I was also happy to hear that one of the girls I work with, who was recently married, is expecting her first baby in November! Congratulations, Sarah, what a terrific mommy you will be! We will have to do this again!

Rivercats Game

We decided it would be a good day to meet up with friends at the Rivercats game last Tuesday. We thought the weather would be perfect since it was only supposed to be in the 80's, but it felt so much hotter out in the middle of the lawn with no shade. We ended up leaving early because Lucas was not a happy camper and I can only sweat so much before I just gotta get in some air conditioning or I melt ;) It's always fun to see our friends Shaunna and Pat and their kids...even if we are busy chasing kids the entire time! James was asleep within 2 minutes of being in the car! When we got home he laid on the couch and watched Pinnochio, or "Pa-nock-no" as James says!

Beating the heat

Today was roughly 105 degrees here! We had plans of going to a MOMS group BBQ but unfortunately did not make it. James has been off his schedule lately and we've been going going going. Tony and I decided he needed to stay home and get back on schedule. He had been acting up really badly the past few days which is not like him, so we didn't want to take him to a BBQ that would mean missing his nap AGAIN. I worked so hard making these Martha Stewart "Bug" cupcakes the night before and was pretty proud of my little ladybugs. I was kinda sad I didn't get to bring them to the party. Oh well, anyone want a cupcake?

James splashing around in his new pool. Thank goodness Tony has an air compressor. I would have passed out trying to blow up the dang elephant!
Lucas is always full of smiles. He keeps us all laughing and feeling truly blessed. I feel like you can really see his happy little soul shining through in this picture. What an amazing addition to our family he is! We love you Lucas!
My two men keeping cool with there shades on! This picture makes me smile ;)
James enjoying one of the ladybug cupcakes after lunch. I think he enjoyed it . . .

Train Museum

Friday we decided to go to the Train Museum. We didn't think it would be busy on a week day, but there were a few school field trips and other tour groups there that day which made for a bit of a crowd. James had a blast. It's funny, I remember going there as a kid and being really bored . . . I think it's more of a boy thing ;) After the museum we went to a candy shop for some treats and then browsed around downtown. We had lunch at Round Table Pizza, yummy and then found some great hats at a hat shop. Next, it was home!

Wonderful Mother's Day Weekend

Well, I did it again. We had such a great weekend in the bay area for mother's day and I forgot my camera! (Thanks Karen, for posting some pics!) I was so disappointed! I guess I'll just have to tell you about it! Well, Friday we drove down after Tony's last day of the semester! Woo Hoo! He's off now until August 31st. I got my hair done by my friend Erin, as usual. (have not had anyone else touch my hair for like 8 years now.) Tony ended up walking in the salon with Lucas half way through my appointment because he couldn't get him to take the bottle. He fell asleep in the car on the way over and didn't wake up for the rest of my appointment. So, we got home to Tony's grandmother's house where we were staying and he slept untill 3 am. I guess we will have to work at the bottle thing until I go back to work. Less than two weeks away now! The next day was James' godsister Kayla's first birthday. We had so much fun seeing Karen, Kayla and their family. Karen, of course, had her house decorated so cute for the party and lots of activities for the kids including swim pools, bubbles, bean bag toss, a jump house, and a cotton candy machine. James had so much fun, and I think Tony was equally impressed with the jump house and the cotton candy . . . ha ha ha. When we left the party we noticed my bumper got hit while at the party! As you may remember, my bumoer go hit in February on a trip to Fremont. It seems everytime I go to the Bay Area my car gets hit and no one leaves a note! It made me really glad though that I didn't pay the money to get it fixed! After the party, we headed to my parent's house and my mom and I exchanged mother's day gifts and had a nice visit. We left the boys with my parents for a few hours and had dinner at Fremont's best restaurant, Massimos. Yummy veal scallopini a la marsala, two cosmos, and creme brule. I ate every bite! The next morning we had a yummy breakfast cooked by Tony and his grandmother and we headed on home. Tony, thank you for a wonderful mother's day weekend, and most importantly, thank you for making me a mother! I couldn't do it without you . . . litterally! ;)

Here are some random pictures from today . . .

James was so excited to see me bring his pool out today. But I think we may need something bigger. He can't really fit in this one anymore!
Lately when James plays he lines up all of his cars/trucks/trains in neat little lines . . . OCD?
Lucas gives such great smiles!
And then it turns to the puppy dog face!
James went in my closet and came out in these . . . should I be worried or is that just what the first born's gotta do for a little attention?
