POOP!
After dinner tonight Lucas had a major blow-out poop. Fruity smelling, warm, dripping down his leg and in between his toes poop. Yucky. I did however find the perfect place to put your baby who is full of poop . . . the sink! Bath time . . . (He's got that look on his face like, "What did I do?")

Cousin Erik
Here are the three cousins! They had a blast today. (Cousin Erik is 13 months older than James, and James is 2 years and two months older than Lucas. The age difference is getting less noticeable as they get older.)
Erik needs a shirt that says "Big Cousin." ;)
Thanks for visiting us Nan, Regina, Denise and Erik! We had lots of fun with you guys! I know it's a long drive out here but we are glad you could make it! We need to get the cousins together more often!

Buddies
I just thought this was a really cute picture. I took it after picking James up from school on Tuesday. He was sitting on the couch and asked to hold Luke. He says he misses him when he's at school. How precious is that? Here's to hoping they always love each other like that. What a blessing they are.

Visit with Janet
Also, on our trip to the Bay Area, we made a stop to see Janet. Janet started watching Tony when he was about one, right when his parents moved here from Germany. Tony has always told me so many stories of "growing up" at Janet's house and the friends he had there. Since getting married and moving away, we kind of lost touch so it was nice to see her again and catch up. I also got to meet her daughters, Bonnie and Becky, whom I had never met before. James really took a liking to Janet and you can tell she loves kids. Janet had James laughing and giggling the whole time!
Lunch with Pop
We picked up Tony's great grandfather (James' great-great grandfather) for lunch on Wednesday. We all went to Harry's Hoffbreau House in Redwood City. (best macaroni and cheese ever!) Pop is 97 and so cute! He has some dementia and short-term memory loss but Tony was able to talk about of a lot of his memories from years that Pop recalls and we had a nice visit. James loves Pop, and Pop loves James. Although Pop forgets who I am he seems to always remember James, who could forget, eh? All Pop wanted was a piece of apple pie a la mode and two cups of coffee and that's exactly what he got!
Bathtime at Grandma's house!
The first night at Grandma and Grandpa's house I gave the boys a bath. We grabbed these silly pictures and it couldn't sum up their personalities more. James is a ham. Smiling and hyper and ready for anything and Luke is so mellow and relaxed and laid back. Luke looks like he's in a hot tube or something. Ha ha ha
At Grandma's house we also noticed Luke's first two teeth are coming in! He's such a trooper though, not very fussy. Well, only for Daddy . . . Sorry, Tony!
After the baths Tony and I headed out for a romantic night of . . . Olive Garden and Target. He, he. We had a craving for calamari, and wanted to do some shopping without the kids!

James' First Day of School
James started a preschool, or pre-preschool class called "playschool" this Tuesday. It's really fun to have him in school and see how excited he gets to go. It's the first time we have left him at school. The last class he was in was a parent participation class, so either Tony or I had to stay the entire time. Tony and I dropped him off Tuesday and the teacher said that the parents could stay however long they needed to until they felt like their child was ready. Tony and I were the first parents to leave. He ran right in and started playing, he was really excited to be there. He also went potty while there, another thing we were concerned about. What a big boy!
We went home and spent some alone time with Luke, then packed up so we could head to the Bay Area after picking James up from school.
James sacked out on his way to Grandma and Grandpa's house.

My Silly Boy
James helped me clean and put together this Baby Einstein exersaucer for Luke. Of coarse he remembered it and was totally excited to see it. I couldn't believe he wanted to sit in it. Look at how long his legs are! What a goof ball!
James has been really sweet lately and we have been home together working around the house. I had been cleaning the bathrooms, baseboards and floors. James kept saying "mama clean all day." Later, he went pee on the potty and came out all excited and said "I make mama happy!"
Fun with Grandma
Luke Loves to eat!
