Luke Gets Cereal!
This morning when James and Lucas woke up I was talking about how Lucas was going to start his cereal today. James kept saying no, the cereal was his. After seeing Lucas' rice cereal he decided it was okay. Just as long as I wasn't going to feed Lucas the cereal that James likes, I guess. ;) I had been waiting all week to start so Tony could be there, and he gave Luke his first bite while I documented! I can't believe he is already starting on solids. The rice cereal was met with all the typical baby reactions; funny faces, noises and spitting it all back out. I took a video but I can't get it to upload, so I just posted the pics.
They are growing so fast!
Things are settling down a bit since our move and we are feeling more at home. James has been waking up early and he wouldn't nap yesterday. The Terminix pest control man came and James threw his shorts and underwear at him on his way to the potty. He doesn't understand why strangers aren't as excited about potty training as mommy and daddy are. So, after acting up for a while I put him in his room for time out. It wasn't five minutes before he had crashed out on the floor of his room. So precious!

The Big Move!
Well, we are settling in to our new place and we love it. Grandma Benson came to help us and watch the boys so Tony and I could get all the little odds and ends taken care of. Thank you so much, Mom, we really appreciate your help. Also, a big THANK YOU to Alex and Pat for helping us move. I'm sure it wasn't exactly how you guys wanted to spend your day off, but we couldn't have done it without you!! We owe you guys!! It is so nice to be so close to work now. It only takes me a whopping 15 minutes to get to work instead of 40-45minutes! It's been a crazy busy week. We still have lots of unpacking to do and things to take care of but we are getting there. I just got my camera back so I will be taking more pictures soon. Tomorrow we go to register James for preschool. He is doing so good. He is potty trained, saying his ABC's and talking up a storm. As far as numbers go, everything is "one . . .two . . . eighteen, eighteen, eighteen, eighteen . . ." hahaha. Oh yeah, and he is always saying it's "eight 'o' clock."

Well, I haven't posted anything new in a while because my camera's in the shop. Henceforth, I have no new pictures. We did however have a good 4th of July. Thanks, Tony for making the best hamburgers ever! Yummy. Then, we went outside after dark for fireworks. Luke was asleep but we let James stay up until dark, which was about 8:45pm. For those of you who don't know James, this is really late for him. James and I sat on the bed of Tony's truck while he did a firework show for us. It was the first time James ever saw them and even though they were the little cheap ones he had a blast. My only request for next year, sparkler's please!
Both of the boys seem to be in a growth spurt right now. SLOW DOWN GUYS! Today we all went to Target and bought James big boy underwear. I can't believe it. When we got home the boys went down for a nap and I was opening the packages of underwear and I just about started crying. Yes, I am that sappy mom. Can't believe my little boy is getting big boy underwear. . . then it's off to preschool, and before we know it, college. Okay, maybe not quite that fast. Well, that's all for now, but I promise more pics and updates once the camera is back!
