Today was Tony's Birthday. The day started out with James and I baking a cake and Tony going to the library to study... woo hoo ;) We ordered a take-out pizza, then had cake and Tony's favorite Baskin Robins mint chip ice cream for dessert. (I was too scared to take the kids out to eat for fear of the swine flu. Paranoid, I know.) Of course Tony had to let James "help" him open his gift and Lucas slept through the whole thing. We love you Tony, Happy Birthday! We are blessed to have you, and we pray for many more birthdays to come!

Lucas is 2 months!
Sleeping like a baby . . .

I took Lucas to his two month appointment yesterday by myself. Tony stayed home and studied while James napped. I was a little apprehensive about taking him because it was his first round of vaccines and I have a hard time watching my baby being stuck! (Even though I give babies injections at work, it's harder when it's your own.) He cried so hard his face turned as red as a tomato but he was easily soothed. He also ended up sleeping really well last night, no fever no reactions that I could tell. What a little trooper. He is a whooping 13lbs, 3oz and 25 3/4 inches tall. Off the chart for height and 75th percentile for weight. Despite being a almost a pound smaller at birth than James he is now bigger than James was at his same age. (At two months James was 12lbs, 4.7oz and 24inches tall)

James and I had a busy day today. We did four loads of laundry, made chicken enchiladas, mowed the front and back lawns and everybody had a bath! What a busy day. I officially have regained my pre-pregnancy energy level. (I must mention, this was my first time mowing the lawns. It is usually Tony's job but I did it just this once just to prove to him I could. Needless to say, he got home from school and was quite impressed.) While mowing the front lawn I noticed James was playing in some dirt with his shovel and a pail. Then I realized there was cat poop in the dirt. YUCKY. I told him not to touch his face at all. Luckily we were all done so I took James inside and we went straight into the shower. My poor little guy was covered in dirt head to toe. He even had dirt up his nose! When we passed by the mirror and he caught a glimpse of himself he laughed. Thank you for all your help James, you are the best little buddy a mommy could have! Oh yeah, and thank you Lucas . . . for sleeping the whole time ;)

Dadda Visits us at home...
Today Tony and his crew stopped by in the ambulance to show James. James had so much fun getting to see the "wee ooo wee ooo" as he calls it. It was nice to see Tony of coarse. James was very sad to see him go. We came back in the house and Lucas was screaming to be fed and James was screaming because Tony left and I was going crazy so I gave James a piece of chocolate which he held in his hand until his screaming/crying fit was over and it had melted so when he finally went to eat it it was a mess!
