Muir Beach

After the trip to Muir Woods, we headed back down the winding road to Muir Beach for lunch. I think we were all starving by this time! Luckily it wasn't a long way to walk to the beach but neither Tony or I had thought of how difficult it would be to lug all of our stuff out there! Here, James and I are finally enjoying some Chinese Chicken Salad and Strawberries!
After lunch it was time to play in the sand again. Woo Hoo! James was surely having a blast.
Next, it was time to go down to the water with Mommy and Daddy!

Trip to Muir Woods

Here we are entering Muir Woods in Marin County. After driving the most steep and winding road ever we finally made it and nobody lost their breakfast! It was a lovely day. We were shaded by a canopy of Sequoia branches and the smell of Redwood hung thick in the air.

Tony and James made their way to this display shortly after we entered. Would you believe this tree was "born" in 990 A.D.?? How crazy is that? When you think of how long one of these massive trees can live it makes you realize how precious your time here is, we only get a meager 70 or so years. So, remember to enjoy it!

James and I pose for Tony in front of a little creek. Where can I find a house with land like this for a backyard??? How peaceful it was to be out here! We saw deer enjoying it too! But I had a feeling James was getting tired of being in his stroller!

Now I got Tony and James to pose for me! Look at my handsome men! Couldn't ask for a more gorgeous backdrop!

Finally James breaks loose, and there was no turning back! He probably walked a mile before getting back in his stroller for a snack! He loved the nature and the people he met along the trail!

We had such a fun day. Tony and I also found there are actual hikes along the trail that take you to ocean views. They were too steep to bring the stroller along so we will be making another trip here for sure!

Happy Mother's Day

Hello everyone! Hope all you mommies out there had a great Mother's Day. Unfortunately, I have been zapped by the flu bug. It's the first time I've been sick in over two years and I forgot how miserable it is. I also never knew just how miserable it is on the family when mommy is sick. I thank God I have Tony for a husband, as he was making dinners, giving baths, doing diapers, dishes and making me tea this weekend. What a guy (Don't worry Tony, Father's day is coming up soon and I owe you!) So, I'm hoping all of you are treated so lovingly all year whether it's Mother's Day or not!
